Satisfying Companionship with the Lord

Proverbs 3:31-32 (Amplified Bible)
Do not resentfully envy and be
jealous of an unscrupulous, gasping man,
and choose none of his ways.
For the perverse are an abomination
[extremely disgusting and detestable] to the
Lord; but His confidential communion and
secret counsel are with the [uncompromisingly]
righteous (those who are upright and in right
standing with Him).

            When we choose to walk with God, that is, keeping His ways of living.  Living a life that is by His precepts, His wisdom for living.   We gain the sweet satisfying companionship of the Lord.  That companionship will produce victory in our lives and from the relationship it will teach us how to walk in victory.  The relationship will cause us to know how to walk into the blessings of life that are available to us.   How to have the promises God has promised those who live for Him. 

Whenever you have relationship with someone and they have some wisdom they can share with you.   If you choose to do what they inform you, you will better your own life.  Because you have companionship with this person it is a blessing to your life.  You receive increase in your life because of fellowship with this person.  Because of fellowship the person shares his or her wisdom with you.

It is the same with God the Father with us. When we show God we love Him by living according to his precepts even if it is just in a small thing.  He responds to us by giving us more wisdom and insight into His divine wisdom.  Insight into God’s wisdom will produce a lifestyle in us.   It is a lifestyle that produces more and more victory and blessings in our lives. 

If you are lacking in any area of your life, check with the word of God over that area to get the wisdom on how to deal with that area.  Make the changes in your daily walk in that area to line up with God’s ways of dealing with that issue.  In doing so you can be sure that you will produce victory in your life.  When our walk lines up with God’s word, His wisdom to us, we start producing victory in our lives.  As we walk God gives us even more insight.  Make sure you get all the insight you can.  Walk a walk that will have God reveal to you the understandings of how to be blessed.

In reading the above Scriptures, we note that the ways of the unscrupulous or unrighteous man are abomination to God.  The ways of an unjust man is detestable to God.  We have to remember that God hates evil.  We cannot label some sins as perverse and others just sins.  For there is no difference in the eyes of God, all sin is perverse and abomination to Him. 

That is the reason we are to fear God.  To fear God is to hate evil and every evil way and if we hate evil, sin will be detestable to us.

Proverbs 8:13 (Amplified Bible)
The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord
[includes] the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way,
and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

We hate those things that are not pleasing to our Lord.  For us, that comes to the point that we fear the Lord there is a great reward for us.  Revelation knowledge comes to us.  Notice in verse 32 of the Proverb we have at the beginning of this devotional.  It states that God's confidential communion and secret counsel is with the righteous.  You cannot get into this type of relationship with God half-stepping.  This special relationship is for those that will stand and hold their ground for righteousness.  One’s mind-set must be that if something is against the precepts of God then it is wrong to him or her and there is no excuse for the wrong.  The secret things are for those that fear God.  It is for those that revere (love and respect) and worship (living a lifestyle) unto God.  We must keep in mind that worship is not just something we do on Sunday or whatever day we hold or go to a church service but it is a way of life.  Our everyday life should be a way of living that worships God.

Psalm 25:14 (Amplified Bible)
The secret [of sweet, satisfying companionship]
of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship)
Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them
its [deep, inner] meanings.           

Worship and revere God with your whole heart.  Let your actions follow that heart desire.  Live a life that speaks to God that you love Him and he will reward you for those actions.  He will reveal to you wisdom giving you understanding of how to walk this life in Godly blessings.  It will cause you to live a life full of victory in all areas of your life.  But to get there you must choose to live a life in satisfying companionship with the Lord.  Satisfying companionship is living according the wisdom of God put Him first in your life.  We just learned that one part of that wisdom is to hate every evil way.  Let us hate sin that we do not perform sin.  In doing so we would be living in satisfying companionship with our God and God would reveal to us His covenant.  His covenant is to bless us in our comings and our goings.  Live a life full of blessing by choosing to live in a satisfying companionship with God.
